A deaf murder convict will know his fate in a week’s time.
The High Court deferred the sentencing hearing after David Kipkorir's lawyer withdrew after he was appointed a prosecutor.
“The court will not proceed until an attorney is appointed to represent the convict. The sentencing is hereby deferred to October 24,” ruled Judge Joel Ngugi.
Kipkorir was in last May found guilty of murdering Evelynn Chebet on November 30, 2012, at Kamnandi village in Chemaner, Kuresoi District.
