A tourist was arraigned in Milimani Law Courts to answer to rape charges.
Sloter Eugen was accused of intentionally and unlawfully having sex with a woman without her consent on July 10 at an apartment in Westlands.
He also faced a second count of indecent act with an adult contrary to the Sexual Offence Act of 2006.
The court heard that on the fateful day, he intentionally touched the breasts and private parts of the complainant.
Sloter, who pleaded not guilty to the charges asked to be released on favourable bail and bond terms through his lawyer David Ayuo.

“Your honour, the passport of my client is with the investigating officer, thus Sloter is not a flight risk at all,” Ayuo told the court.
The prosecution, led by Addah Sega, did not oppose the accused being released on bond and bail, but insisted that the accused deposit his passport with the court and also give two Kenyan sureties to guarantee his appearance in court.
Sloter was released on a Sh60, 000 bond and two Kenyan sureties as requested by the prosecution.
His case will be heard on October 27.
