Popular TV personality Larry Madowo is an excited fella after joining one of the World’s most renowned media houses, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).

Larry stopped working for NTV last month and disclosed the news of his exit on social media saying he was humbled and grateful for the opportunity Nation Media Group (NMG) gave him.

I leave @ntvkenya as I came: humbled & grateful. The job was one of the great honours of my life. Thanks to everyone who watched, and to Nation for the privilege of the opportunity. I’m proud of my amazing colleagues & everything we accomplished. Farewell, my friends. Stay woke”, posted the former columnist.

He resigned barely days after eight other columnists quit, citing lack of editorial independence at the organization.

Now Larry has found a new lease of life.

Through a tweet on Wednesday, April 11, Larry said that he was thrilled to be joining the BBC.

It can now be confirmed that he has joined them as a Business Editor.

Through a statement posted by Larry, BBC announced that Larry will be heading its new business unit and his appointment is part of a plan to expand TV and Digital content for audiences in Africa.
