National Super Alliance (NASA) Coalition leader Raila Odinga’s and Kalonzo Musyoka’s swearing-in ceremony was scheduled to take place on January 30 at 10.am.

However, Wiper Coalition leader Kalonzo Musyoka while addressing the media condemned the shutting down of all free to air media channels.

“We don’t understand this panic. We are actually going into consultations right now because... even worldwide, people are expecting this event. So what do you do when there’s a complete shutdown,” said Mr. Musyoka.

He also condemned the move by Communications Authority of Kenya (CAK) to shut down the channels.

Kalonzo said the shutting down of free to air platforms caused the delay of the ceremony since there’s no communication.

It’s reported that the CAK switched off the channels from the Limuru station.

Speaking to KTN's Betty Kyalo, this is what Ken Mujungu of NTV had to say;

"What we know this morning is that a group of people numbering about ten according to information from the security and engineer manning the mission, the transmission center, is that group of about ten people in a land cruiser and a small car went there at around 10.am and there mission was unknown. However, they spoke to the engineer and went around the establishment. They did not do anything because the cite that they visited, is a cite that only speaks to DSTV, “said the reporter.
