Spanish giants Real Madrid, better known as Los Blancos were dumped out of the Copa Del Rey by minnows Leganes.
This is by far Zidane’s most embarrassing defeat since he took over as Real Madrid manager.
Zidane’s men started the match with a 1-0 aggregate lead but failed to make the most of it, going down 2-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu and being eliminated on goal difference.

After the match, Zidane came face to face with the fact that he is on the chopping board and the next matches will be crucial for him if he wants to maintain his status as manager.
“If we do not get past against the PSG, my continuity is in danger. I am responsible. It is very clear that I am responsible and I have to find solutions,” said a disappointed Zizu.
At the moment, Real Madrid’s title hopes rest squarely on the UEFA Champions League, as they trail Barcelona by 16 points in La Liga.
Zidane also admitted that he was angry at his team’s performance and even though he took full responsibility for the defeat, he acknowledged the fact that no one expected them to be eliminated so early in the competition.
“I am angry. We have to see how we are going to solve it. Nobody expected it,” added Zidane.
