Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma has skipped the gubernatorial race debate underway at Tom Mboya Labour college.
Mr David Otieno of Alternative Leadership Party, PC Omolo, Prof Anyang Nyong'o on an ODM party ticket and Christine Atieno Otieno of Jubilee Party are seeking to unseat Mr Ranguma in August.
The organizers of the debate had preserved a place for thr governor but he had failed to turn up by the time the debate kicked off.
Kisumu Sanator Anyang Nyong'o during the debate said the county had great potential but disappointingly not performed.
The debate is live on KTN News and it is a second after the Nairobi County gubernatorial debate. It is still unclear why the govenor opted to skip the debate.
