The
rate of impunity in cases involving abuse against Kenyan women has increased.
Our
young girls are sexually harassed by men who are old enough to be called their
fathers and grandfathers.
It’s
unfortunate that such cases are settled at village level by elders who normally
let off the perpetrators by charging them a small fine.
It
is only FIDA Kenya that is doing a great job in pushing for justice for the
survivors of such cases and indeed making sure that women become respected in
the society.
