A man accused of killing a university student in Nairobi in 2012 was yesterday set free.
Judge Stella Mutoko said the Prosecution failed to prove that Elly Waga Omondi killed Edinah Nyanchama Mogambi at Mbotela Teleposta staff quarters.
"The threshold beyond reasonable doubt has not been met and the law dictates that one should be set free if there is not enough evidence," said Lady Justice Mutoko.
Mr Omondi had said the police forced him to confess that he killed the student.
