Uhuru Kenyatta should be given ample time to deliver

For a number of days this year, President Uhuru Kenyatta spent quite some time at the coast. He has issued Lamu County and the Waitiki farm title deeds, launched the Port Reitz/Moi International Airport access road, and launched the English Point Marina Hotel among other development projects aimed at benefiting Kenyans.

Despite this, there are some disgruntled Kenyans who claim that the long stay and launch of numerous projects at the coast is part of a charm offensive to woo residents to the Jubilee party.

This makes me wonder, when will Kenyans stop dwelling on politics even when important matters such as development need focus?

Just what do we really need? The irony is that it was just last year when a large number of politicians faulted the president for his numerous trips outside the country compared to the trips he had made locally.

I commend Uhuru for his new strategy to campaign through development projects other than going round the country with empty promises and hate speech.

This is because by the time 2017 comes; we will have realised several milestones in terms of developing the country ahead of the Vision 2030 goals.
