A suspect had to part with Sh10,000 for allegedly stealing a woman’s skirt and selling it.
Jared Musembe it is alleged, stole the skirt worth Sh600 belonging to Gertrude Muchesia, a student at a Kakamega college.
The court heard that Muchesia had washed her skirt, but when she went to pick it from the line, it was missing.
Muchesia claimed that she bumped into a woman wearing the skirt and upon demanding to know where she bought it, she directed him to Musembe’s stall.
Muchesia reported the matter to the police who arrested Musembe.
