Four officials from the county have been charged with theft from their employer.
The four who appeared before resident magistrate Paul Mutai Wednesday are county assistant director of youth training Harrison Munga, veterinary officer Japheth Muthoka, youth training instructor level one Amir Mohamed and training instructor level three Mbui Mwangolo.
The four, who committed the alleged crimes on different dates last year to early this year were charged under section 280 of the penal code that prohibits theft public among public sector employees.
Munga, who is out on Sh50,000 cash bail is said to have stolen Sh437,560. Muthoka allegedly stole Sh1 million while Amir stole Sh183,640 and is out on bond after paying a cash bail of Sh50,000.
Mwangolo was charged in the same court for allegedly stealing Sh114, 676.
