Kisumu, Kenya: A group of 26 people appeared before a Kisumu magistrate charged with breaking and stealing fish and other valuables from the Mayfair business premises in the lakeside city.
But their lawyer Ken Omolo told the court that they were executing a court order that directed them to take the fish.
"The respondents were executing a court order, which allowed them to take the fish from Mayfair Company. The police were even present when they were executing their duties," said Omolo.
The accused persons told the court that Mayfair company had violated an agreement with Dash Group, a move that prompted the court to issue the order.
