Man and his two children burnt to death

Nairobi, Kenya: A man and his two children were Wednesday night burnt to death in a fire incident in Githurai area, Nairobi.

The three were sleeping in their house in Majengo area of Githurai when the fire broke out spreading fast and engulfed it, police said.

Police say they are yet to know the cause of the fire but investigations into the same have been launched.

The bodies were later moved to the mortuary as locals demanded to know the cause of the fire incident. Nairobi police boss Benson Kibue said investigations into the incident have been launched.

“We are yet to know how the fire broke out and managed to kill the victims. They were sleeping at the time of the incident,” said Kibue.
