NAIVASHA, KENYA: Unknown number of thugs raided a petrol station in Naivasha hacking to death five workers including two women before escaping with over Sh2m in cash.
The thugs who were armed with crude weapons hit Total petrol station on the Nairobi-Nakuru highway before committing the beastly act.
Those killed were two hotel workers, a night guard and two petrol attendants while at least four others workers received minor injuries.
The 3am attack was termed as the worst incident to hit Naivasha in years coming after a peaceful festive season.
At the scene personal effects soaked in blood were littered all over as senior security officers arrived at the scene.

According to one of the workers Simon Kimani, the thugs who were dressed in jungle jackets struck after 3am.
He told how they raided the restaurant robbing some workers and killing two women before heading to the offices.
"They took my phone but I managed to escape a side door and that is where they killed the two women," said the bar attendant.
The thugs later moved to the offices killing three workers before making away with the weekend cash and personal effects.
The bodies of the workers which bore cuts all over have been collected and taken to Naivasha district hospital mortuary.
Currently senior government officers are at the scene as workers and members of the public have been kept away.
