All roads lead to the Sarakasi Dome tonight as top musicians host a charity show in honour of fallen reggae DJ Patty Ranks. The DJ who was part of Dohty Family passed on recently after a short illness.
The musicians lined up to perform to raise funds for his children’s school fees include Daddy Owen, Redsan, Nonini, Lady B and Kenzo among others. Emcees of the event include Shaffie, Big Ted, Talia Oyando and Fullstop. On the decks will be DJs Chopstik, Joe Mfalme, Ruffkut, Daddie Konia and Simple Simon. The show will also see songstress Tiera Gee, Ally B, Kingsting, Susumila and Chikuzee entertain. On the decks will be Tribe DJs and DJ Nijjo. The emcees will be Bably Omar and Jalang’o. Prestige Barton fashion Popular TV presenter Jimmy Gathu and radio presenter-cum-comedian Nyambane will next weekend host Barton Melablooms Fashion Show and grand sale at Prestige Plaza, Ngong Road. The show is slated for Thursday next week from 6pm. There will be plenty of entertainment including live performances. Mseto Campus tour, Eldoret Chat awards Best New Artiste winner Lady Bee will tomorrow headline Mseto Campus Tour in Eldoret. There will also be performances by Rapdamu, poet Kennet B and Kizo B. The show will be hosted by Radio host Willy Tuva. Gates open at 2pm. On the decks will be DJ Flash. Before the concert starts, students will be given a platform to showcase their talent. Kinanda Arts Festival Afro fusion star Nina Ogot will on Sunday perform during the Kinanda Arts Festival set for Kifaru Gardens, Kanjata Road, Off James Gichuru Road. Gates open at 1.30pm to 6pm. Fally Ipupa for Nairobi and Mombasa shows After performing in a stadium in Paris last weekend, sensational Congolese crooner Fally Ipupa will tonight perform in Los Angeles before flying to Lusaka next week and finally Nairobi the week after. The BET nominee for Best International Act and multiple MTV Africa award winner promises two electrifying shows for his disappointed fans in Nairobi and Mombasa. The shows slated for August 8 and 9 will be at Bomas of Kenya and Mamba Disco respectively. The shows supported by Standard Group’s Radio Maisha is organised by Flame Entertainment, Nsana Promotions and Ambasa Promotions. Space and Nijjo at Galilleo The party goes down at Galilleo Lounge, Westlands, tonight where MOB Deejays will kick off the weekend with a wicked video mix show. The early patrons will have a chance to sample Johnnie Walker Black Label at the VIP Lounge. The party kicks off at 7pm. Galilleo combines great ambiance, privacy and awesome entertainment. Galilleo Lounge opens tonight the latest and trendy bar for sports fanatics. The awards ceremony is in September at the KICC. Psys hosts Dancehall night Psys Pub situated at the Lang’ata Shopping Centre brings you The Dancehall Reggae Nites this and every other Tuesday night. In the house will be DJ Stano of the Riddim Base Show on Metro FM, DJ Dolls and DJ Alvoh. MC Jaggla will emcee the event with a special appearance by the legendary ‘Crucial Man’, Jeff Mwangemi in the house. Dohty Family in Tamasha Hurlingham Come dance to reggae every Monday at Tamasha Hurlingham. Dohty Family will play the very best of reggae and dancehall music. On the decks will be Kriss Darlin, DJ Moh and MC Daddy Konia. Singles party The hottest and wildest bridal shower party goes down this weekend at Club Zigna, off Mugo Kabiru Road opposite Nakumatt Prestige. Come watch hot girls from Nairobi, Addis Ababa, Mbabane and Lilongwe try to outdo each other in entertaining guests. Splash disco chocolate party The biggest party goes down tonight at Club Lambada in Mtwapa. The gig dubbed Chocolate Friday (Ladies Night) features pretty chicks.
