Tennis star Serena Williams and rapper Common were spotted in Hawaii while on a romantic vacation last month. Now Serena has broken silence about her relationship with Common. "I think he is a great guy. He is obviously a great artiste who is timeless and classic," she told MondayBlues when asked about her relationship with the American rapper.

"I won’t confirm or deny if we have any strings attached. Like I said, he is truly a great guy and friend…(right now) I have to focus on tennis because that is my (first) goal in life," she noted. "I wouldn’t like to disclose that I recently purchased a home in Paris where I want to spend quality time and maybe win the French Open and showcase the Coupe Suanne Lenglen trophy in my new home. I also have a new clothing and accessory line," she said, diverting our attention from the love story.

Asked about her life off the court, the one half of the Williams sisters said: "I am just like everyone else who likes attending day parties where I eat hot dogs and hang out with friends. I also like it in the water and especially when there are no paparazzi around and I don’t have to watch my back. Now that’s fun for me."

A widespread rumour has it that the two are an item. Last month, the couple spent a quality vacation in Hawaii where they were spotted in the beach.

A link in the Internet reported, "The cute couple looked happy and like they were having some serious fun. Paparazzi sources on the scene say Serena showed talent and shear determination while out surfing. She was all smiles with her performance (surfing)."

The tennis icon, who was in Kenya on a charity mission last week, rocked her fans at the Carnivore Restaurant where she enjoyed her dinner and dance on Friday night.

CMB Prezzo out of hospital

Two days after he was admitted to a Nairobi hospital after an encounter with armed carjackers, popular rapper Jackson Makini aka CMB Prezzo was discharged last Friday. In the company of his bouncers, the artiste made a brief appearance at The Games’ after party at Blue Times on Saturday night. And when a battery of photojournalists lined up to take his pictures, Prezzo remained shielded between his security personnel and dodged the lenses. He even ordered a journalist to delete some photos he had taken of him.

He frustrated all efforts by journalists who wanted to interview him.

The showbiz king was carjacked near his Kilimani residence on Tuesday and robbed at gunpoint by four armed men who abandoned him at Buruburu shopping centre. He was reportedly shot on his left ear as he tried to resist the attempt.

Did Sheila really get ‘messy’ in Kampala?

Former Kenyan Big Brother Africa 3 representative Sheila Kwamboka has repeatedly, publicaly denied rumours that she is not gay.

Despite the denials, Sheila has been gracing showbiz pages in Uganda for the last two weeks — for all the wrong reasons. A section of the Press in Kampala reported that Sheila — who was in Kampala for an event — was booked in the same room, with a ‘girlfriend’ who had flown in with her. Tabloids claimed the two have an affair and Ugandan paparazzi indicated the two had a romantic involvement. Our efforts to get Sheila comment on this were fruitless.
