Villagers living near a university in Rift Valley have threatened to bewitch students suspected to be stealing their chicken.
The villagers have warned they will look for a witch to cast a spell on the students so they go mad.
They claimed the university students have been stealing their chicken and slaughtering them in their hostels.
One of the villagers told Campus Vibe they suspect the students are responsible for the rampant theft of the birds because feathers are always seen around the hostels.

Students who spoke to The Nairobian denied the claims.
Some said they cannot steal because they can afford chicken.
A chicken goes for Sh450 in the region.
“I find such claims demeaning. These villagers should stop blaming their losses on innocent students. Campus students have no time chasing chickens around bushes,” Mark, one of the students, said.
