American sprint sensation Sha'Carri Richardson is among the athletics stars who jetted into the country yesterday morning for the fourth edition of the Kip Keino Classic Continental Gold Tour slated for Kasarani Stadium on Saturday.
The sixth fastest woman in the world is hopeful to replicate her stellar performance in Doha, Qatar on Friday where she won the Diamond League season opener.
She is eager to replicate the form at the Kip Keino Classic where she is likely to battle double Olympic champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce of Jamaica who will be out for a three-peat in the category.
Upon her arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi in the wee hours yesterday morning, Richardson intentionally avoided the media.
She chose to talk to the media through her coach Dennis Mitchell who reiterated that she was tired and was not in the mood to give out any interview.
"She just can't talk for now, she is tired," said Mitchell, a former 4x 100m Olympic and world champion.
Other stars who arrived with Richardson include Andersen Peters of Jamaica,Jerome Blake (Canada),Aaron Brown (Canada) and Terry 'Tee Tee' Twanisha (USA).
Others in the contingent were Teahna Daniels (USA), Kyra Jefferson (USA) Kyree King and Kenny Bednarek.
Former European champion Angelika Cichocka was the first foreign athlete to arrive in the country on Sunday.
