Former Harambee Stars goalkeeper Mahmoud Mohamed has died.
The 68 year old former keeper passed away at his home in Sega after returning home from India where he had been taken for advanced treatment.
Mahmoud Mohammed who lived in Mombasa was ailing from heart related issues.
He was goalkeeper for National side Harambee Stars between 1968-1974 after being discovered as a talented player at the age of 19 after completing school at Arab Boys and Khamis Secondary School.
He played for Kenya during the Gossage Cup in the late 1970's alongside Joe Kadenge, Jonathan Niva, William Chege Ouma and late James Sianga.

In 2005, he suffered a heart attack and later got a stroke that paralyzed his left side.
According to reports, Mohammed will be buried at 4pm at Allidina cemetery next to Coast General Hospital.
