Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's proposed move to Manchester United could be on hold after Sweden boss Erik Hamren claimed the striker would not be flying to the UK during their Euro 2016 campaign.

The former Barcelona forward is expected to pen a one-year deal at Old Trafford following the expiration of his contract at Paris Saint-Germain, report the Guardian.

“Players have their leisure time on the schedule – there’s nothing I can control. But it would not be OK for Zlatan to fly to Manchester.” said Hamren.

“I’m 100% sure it will not affect Zlatan. He has been in the business a long time. I understand there is a lot of Zlatan media. Not only in Sweden. I understand that. But with us, it is nothing. He handles it perfectly.”

"The players are familiar with it. You can be calm – there is nothing that has affected us negatively in the group-Absolutely nothing.”

Bumper Bale bid

Meanwhile, sensational reports in Spain have linked Manchester United with a £94.6million move for Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale.

Media outlet El Confidencial say Jose Mourinho is eyeing the Welshman as his marquee signing as the Portuguese looks to revamp Louis van Gaal's squad.

Eric Bailly has already arrived for £30million from Villarreal and Zlatan Ibrahimovic is expected to pen a one-year deal at Old Trafford.

Bale is reportedly keen on the move but any switch would have to wait until Wales have completed their Euro 2016 campaign.
