A man was on Monday night killed by his wife during a fight over alcohol at Hotelit village in Mogotio sub-county.
The suspect allegedly struck her husband, 41, with a nail-studded club.
Mogotio Directorate of Criminal Investigations Officer Luka Tumbo said the woman had reportedly sent her husband to purchase alcohol in a neighbouring village for sale, but instead, he returned home drunk.
The couple later began quarrelling, with the woman accusing her husband of being reckless and causing the family economic losses. The couple survive by selling alcohol to villagers.
“The information we have is that the woman was furious when the husband returned home drunk and without alcohol which they were supposed to sell and buy food. She hit him on the head with the club,” said the detective.
