Koitalel, Kenya: The University of Nairobi (UoN) in collaboration with the county government has launched diploma and certificate courses at a constituent college, Koitalel Samoei University.
Representing UoN Vice Chancellor Peter Mbithi, Prof M Ojanda revealed a students' registration was under way, adding that other faculties would be established in the near future.
Ojanda also said 61 students had already successfully registered for different diploma and certificate programmes. Degree courses would be offered from August.
"We are pleased as the University of Nairobi to launch courses at this institution," said Ojanda.
Governor Cleophas Lagat asked locals to take up the opportunities offered.
