NAKURU COUNTY: A matatu driver died on the spot after 14-seater matatu he was driving was involved in a road crash at Karura near St Marys Hospital-Gilgil along Nakuru Nairobi highway.
The matatu was heading to Nakuru when it collided with an ambulance heading to the opposite direction and was alleged to have been ferrying charcoal during the accident.
The Kenya Red Cross society later confirmed and dispelled allegations that the ambulance was carrying charcoal.
Unknown number of casualties who were traveling in the matatu have been admitted at St Marys hospital.
The accident occurred a few kilometres from Kikopey where 5 relatives died 3 weeks ago.
