Two people were killed and six others injured after bandits attacked a lorry that was heading to Marsabit from Isiolo.
The bandits sprayed the lorry with bullets at Lenamba area in Samburu East causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
The lorry rolled several times killing two people.
The Samburu East District Commissioner Mr Hussein Alaswa Hussein said the bandits were armed with M16 and AK 47 rifles.

He said the injured were rushed to Wamba hospital where they are undergoing treatment.
Hussein said police were pursuing the attackers and he urged locals to volunteer information to security personnel as there have been attacks in the area in the recent past.
