Musician Wyre, the Love Child, will tomorrow perform in Lagos, Nigeria, during the Sound City Music Video Awards 2009. The awards will be held at Ocean View on Victoria Island. The R&B, dancehall and reggae singer left the country today to attend one of Africa’s top Independent Music Television Awards.

"Wyre is very popular in Nigeria and has recorded some songs with Nigerian artistes and his music works perfectly for the Nigerian crowd," says Buddha Blaze of Spark Africa Management.
The Love Child joins a whole list of top Nigerian artistes including 2Face Idibia, Weird MC, Terry G, Ill Bliss, Bigiano, MI, Seun Kuti (Legendary Fela Kuti’s son).
He will also be on stage with South African Group, Jozi, Ghanaian singer Becca and US international artiste MIMS. The Pre-awards concert will be held today and the awards ceremony tomorrow.
This comes at a great time for Wyre as he has just released his second solo album called 10Years Wiser. The album features an impressive list of brilliant songs plus a whole lot of African artists that Wyre has collaborated with such as P-Square, Faze, Nicon (Nigeria), Navio (Uganda) and Chege (TZ).
