Ruto’s political enemies, real and imagined have been on the rise following the remarks he made during the burial of slain AP officer Kipyegon Kenei.

Ruto had claimed that that his political enemies and those in the system’ had killed Kenei to threaten him and destroy his office for political reasons.

The remarks saw MPs allied to President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga threaten to im to impeach DP Ruto for inspbordination.

But Ruto and his allies have dared those calling for his impeachment to bring the motion in Parliamentif they have the numbers to push it through.

“I am freely advising those planning my impeachment in Nairobi that your underhand tactics will take you nowhere.

"Those of you who have been elected should go back and serve the voters otherwise that impeachment you are planning in Nairobi might turn back on you and get you impeached by wananchi, because you are serving your personal interests instead of serving them.”

He dared his political opponents to be ready to kill him or prepare a gruelling political battle.

“Kenya is for everyone and not for some clique of people, may be you kill me but I will not be cowed with your schemes and threats.”

Ruto has also accused the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) of being mobilised to destroy and discredit his office with all manner of nonsense and to bring him down, saying ongoing probe into Kenei’s murder was part of the plot by a clique in the system to finish him politically.

“DCI has been mobilised, for political reasons, to discredit and destroy my office with all manner nonsense and to bring me down, but there I God in heaven,” he said.

Ruto claimed those plotting for his downfall have been all over the place boasting that he (the DP) will not be there soon, but was quick to remind his detractors that the system will not vote, but Kenyans will.

“Those in this scheme are boasting that I will not be there soon. Since the system cannot elect anybody, they can only kill,” he added.
