A suspected terrorist has surrendered himself to police officers at Kegogi police station in Kisii.
Evans Mose who allegedly admitted that he was once a terror operative in Nakuru but never executed any attack told officers that he was being trailed by his former terror coordinator in Nakuru.
According to a police report seen by The Standard, the suspect alleged that the former coordinator was attempting to recruit him as a suicide bomber.
The 30-year old man told police officers that the coordinator had threatened to kill him if he does not heed his calls to participate in the planning of a terror attack.
The case has been reported under OB number OB NO13/7/6/2022. He has been transferred to Marani DCI headquarters where he is being interrogated by detectives.

“The suspect was escorted to Marani DCI Headquarters for further interrogation and any further necessary action to establish the truth of his allegation,” read the report in part.
Nyanza Regional Police Commander Karanja Muiruri confirmed the incident and said the suspect is being interrogated.
