Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi. [Boniface Okendo, Standard]
Political scientist and consultant Mutahi Ngunyi's house in Nairobi's upmarket Runda was gutted in a fierce inferno last night.
Responding to a tweet by former Digital Communications director at State House Dennis Itumbi who first reported the incident, Ngunyi revealed that his home of 27 years went up in flames at 1:45am.

A photo shared by the renowned political analyst of the aftermath showed the extent of the fire that destroyed the Mediterranean-style home capturing debris and embers still smouldering in some of the rooms.
