Businessman Jimi Wanjigi attended a mitigation session at Milimani court in a case involving confiscating of firearms from his residence by Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officers in 2017.
However, DCI boss George Kinoti did not turn up for the session before Judge Antony Mrima.
The court had on February 14 found that Wanjigi was licensed to possess the guns and ordered Kinoti to return them.
The court set November 18 for mention of the case and sentencing of Kinoti for contempt of court.
