University of Nairobi (UoN) lecturer Adams Oloo has lost his wife.
The political scientist’s wife Consolata Ohito Oloo collapsed and died on Saturday at midday as she was taken for routine check up at the institution’s medical facility.
“She has been ill for sometime and was admitted at Nairobi Hospital where she was treated and discharged. She has since been going to the university facility for follow up medication and Saturday was not any different,” Oloo, who is chair of Political Science and Public Administration Department at the institution, told The Standard.
According to Oloo, Consolata succumbed to what doctors diagnosed as “clinical gastritis”. There will be a fundraising to offset funeral expenses today at All Saints Cathedral Church from 5pm.
