Two people were shot dead in Narok town as they attempted to rob a shop.
Area OCPD Joseph Kisombe said they received information that four people were trying to rob the Temos Mini-Supermarket on Friday then responded to the call.
He said one of the suspects fired a home-made pistol at police officers before two were killed.
Two escaped using a motorbike. Police said those killed were were among a gang that has operating in the area.
