Kenyan music ambassadors Nairobi Chamber Chorus (NCC) is working on a deal to have some of their songs played on flight of Emirates Airlines.

Currently on a tour of the Nordic country of Denmark, the choir sang one of its favourite pieces Musa on flight from Nairobi to Dubai.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, we want to introduce you to the celebrated music group from Kenya to sing us one number," announced the Cabin Crew purser as the Flight E155 cruised at 40,000 feet above the sea level.

And didn't they impress with the song as passengers and the warm and beautiful crew flashed out their smart phones to capture the surprise action.

The entertainment menu on Emirates flights known as ICE hardly has any Kenyan song in the repertoire and should NCC clinch this deal, it would be another first for a choir that sang for the Queen of England on her Golden Jubilee two years ago.

The choir arrived in Copenhagen Saturday afternoon and again took passengers by surprise as they sang another Kenyan classic Ting'a Malo (Lift Me Up), a Luo gospel song.

Their angelic and harmonious voices warmed up Copenhagen that was experiencing a wet weather with temperatures at 12 degrees Celsius. Many passengers stooped to listen and take pictures of these Kenyan stars in a near flash mob fashion.

"We are glad to have you and welcome to Denmark," said the teams, host Jens Bang as he danced holding both Kenyan and Danish Flags together with Danish Music Maestro Jorgen Rasmussen who had come to receive the 21-member team from Kenya.

After a three hour journey through the lush and undulating landscape the group arrived in the Island of Fyn in Horne where the resident choir the Horne Mandescore.

Conducted by Mr Ramussen, the choir sang Kenyans national anthem to the excitement of the visitors and another number Denmark my Fatherland.

"This is amazing and we are looking forward to an exciting experience as we share the message of peace around the World," said Ken Wakia , the founder and director of Nairobi Chamber Chorus at this coastal village on the Baltic Sea facing Germany.

On a tight schedule the group were hosted to a dinner concert by the Lions Club meeting at Fjorden.

They sand a number of their songs including Wana Baraka, Kokoliko and Musa to a standing ovation.

The group was expected to perform yesterday evening at the Horne Village Church at a Banquet hosted by the Horne Kirke.

According to Mr Wakia the group will tour Denmark in the next two weeks with a scheduled visit at the Danish Parliament later on.
