A lawyer involved in a protracted land theft case in which Nairobi gubernatorial candidate Mike Sonko is lined up as a witness has sued him for defamation.
Lucy Momanyi accused Mr Sonko of depicting her as corrupt, murderous, and a political saboteur.
Sonko denied the claims and in a replying affidavit accused her of malice and refusing to accept a fair comment.
Ms Momanyi was representing German investor Morgenstern Joachim. A man is accused of swindling Joachim of Sh16 million.
