And reports in Spain suggest it could be Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes.
Jose Mourinho has already added Nemanja Matic to the centre of the field but is a long-time admirer of the Barca man.
Gomes only joined the Catalan club last year but could be available for around £30million.
