Cristiano Ronaldo is being lined up for a sensational return to Manchester United - six years after leaving the club for Real Madrid.
United are working on what would be a new club-record deal to bring the Portuguese back to Old Trafford as they look to restore themselves at the top of English football.
United explored the possibility of signing Ronaldo during David Moyes’ first transfer window in 2013, however the three-time Ballon d’Or winner signed a new contract until 2018.
The 30-year-old scored 117 goals during his six-year stint with the Red Devils.
