The followers of Prophet David Owuor’s King’s Outreach Repentance and Holiness Ministries yesterday flocked the streets of Nairobi to celebrate the ‘resurrection’ of a woman in West Pokot. They sang praises to God.
The woman, identified as Mama Rosa Rotirakori, is said to have resurrected at her home in Cheparten village after Owuor prayed for her. Her husband, Samson Rotirakori, a member of the church, said Mama Rosa had died on Thursday night after a short illness. “I sought help from a senior pastor and asked him to request prayers for my wife’s life from the man of God (Dr Owuor).
However, after the call she died,” he said. Rotirakori explained that he received a text from Dr Owuor saying: “It is well.” Two hours later, the ‘miracle’ happened. “My wife begun coughing and sneezing. The neighbours were still around after my daughter let out a distressed cry alerting them of the sudden demise,” said Rotirakori.
The believers marched in the city centre carrying banners and leaves and chanting praises and thanksgiving to God.[Akello Odenyo]
