Hardly three months after Congolese musician Koffi Olomide performed in Kenya, another great musician Noël Ngiama Makanda aka Werrason is expected in the country next Saturday after a span of 14 years.

The Congolese Rumba star Werrason will lead his 23 band member in staging an electrifying show on Madaraka Eve May 31, at Carnivore Grounds. He will then perform on June 4 at Simba Club Kisumu.

The much anticipated event is dubbed Tribute to Papa Wemba 40 days after his death courtesy of locally based Congolese promoter Jules Nsana of Nsaana Promotions.

Even with advance charges pegged at Sh3000 per person and Sh 4000 at the gate, the event is expected to witness a record number of fans.

Fondly referred to as Roi De La Forest (King of Forest) Werrason who last performed in Kenya in 2002 promises an electric six hours non- stop show.

Speaking to this writer from Kinsasha the multiple award winning artiste cum bandleader of Wenge Maison Mere said he will jet into the country next Saturday May 27 aboard Kenya Airways two days prior his concerts.

The curtain raiser will be Ohangla artist Emma Jalamo famed for the songs Simba Jauriri and Adede.
