MP Wangui Ngirici has told Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru to focus on service delivery and the health sector.
Ngirici said joining United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and supporting DP William Ruto's political ambitions is not a ticket for re-election.
The MP who is eying to unseat Waiguru has downplayed the governor's move to join UDA party, saying it will not guarantee her comeback.
"The only thing which can save you (Waiguru) is ensuring that Kirinyaga people get proper health services and embark on rehabilitation of dilapidated roads in the county," she said.

She has called on the governor to reinstate over 300 health workers sacked by the county government.
"If I am elected governor, I will ensure all the sacked health workers are reinstated, and their salaries and allowances paid," she said.
Waiguru has accused her political foes of colluding with officers from the anti-corruption body to harass her.
The two leaders are set to battle it out for the UDA party ticket.
