Police on Wednesday found bhang worth Sh65,500 in an abandoned car in Rangwe, Homa Bay County.
The discovery was made after members of the public informed the police that the vehicle had been left unattended for hours at Ngegu market.
On inspection, the police officers found 605 rolls of bhang stashed in the boot of the Toyota Ipsum. The vehicle was towed to Homa Bay Police Station.
Confirming the incident, Homa Bay County Police Commander Esther Seroney said police are hunting for suspects who abandoned the car.
Seroney said the suspects may have abandoned it after one of its tyres developed a puncture.
