Man kills wife over romantic text

A 38-year-old man was arrested by the police for allegedly killing his wife after he found a romantic text message on her mobile phone.

The business man at Turbo-Ngenyilel reportedly beat his wife to death after she received the SMS from a man at night.

Eldoret West OCPD Zachariah Bittock said the suspect tied the hands of Mary Chesang’, 28, before hitting her with a blunt object in the 3am incident.

“My officers were informed by the public that a couple was fighting in a house near Turbo trading centre, but when they arrived, they found the woman bleeding with her arms tied up. It was confirmed later that she was dead,’’ he said.
