Two boda boda riders were killed in separate incidents and their motorcycles stolen at Mungakha and Chamavere villages in Lwandeti location, Matete Sub County.

Martin Khwatenge, 28, was killed by unknown assailants and his body dumped near Maturu African church at Lwandeti shopping centre.

The deceased’s mother, Everlyn Lichuma, said the body had deep cuts on the head, neck and stomach. She said she last saw the son at 6pm on Thursday.

She got worried when Khwatenge failed to return home at 8pm. “We tried calling his phone but it had been switched off and his colleagues did not know his whereabouts.”
