Independent Presidential Candidate Prof. MIchael Wainaina the National Super Alliance (NASA) and Jubilee Party by saying that they are not interested in free and fair elections.
He said this during an interview this morning when questioned on whether he trusts the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to deliver credible election results.
"If Jubilee and NASA were interested in free and fair elections, they would have demonstrated that in their respective party nominations. They would then have the right to pressure IEBC on delivering credible elections," he claimed.
The April Jubilee and NASA party primaries were marred with irregularities, springing violence among supporters after some losing candidates alleged results were tailored in favour of their opponents.
Furthermore, Prof. Wainaina accused Jubilee and NASA politicians of instigating tribal and ethnic politics, blaming them for igniting the 2007 post election violence.
