As has always been the case, politicians are making promises ahead of the August elections.
President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto have promised free secondary school education starting next January if Jubilee wins.
What is interesting is that they are not mentioning all the promises they made in 2013 but failed to keep. I am surprised the President thinks Kenyans have forgotten the laptops he promised primary school children.
Jubilee also promised to build five stadiums around the country but not even one has been put up.It seems the many promises were just a ploy to lure people into voting for them.
Many expected him to state why he did not keep his promises and what he is doing to ensure that he eventually fulfils them. Alas, he prefers to make new promises with no guarantee that he will keep any.
