ODM leader Raila Odinga has adopted a two-pronged strategy in order to ostensibly portray President Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration as weak, and not deserving to be re-elected in 2017.
One of them is the card of corruption. Over the past few months, he has been exposing what he would call cases of mega corruption in Government. However, whenever he is invited by the officials of institutions entrusted to fight corruption to produce evidence and record statements, he does not honour the invitations.
The other card Raila is playing is that of creating the impression that President Kenyatta is a bad leader because he has failed to implement the TJRC report.
TJRC was created when he was the Prime Minister and Mwai Kibaki the President. One would have expected the duo to provide leadership that would ensure the report is fully implemented but this was not the case.
