Cases of defilement are on the increase. Thus, it is so sad when the courts appear lenient to sex pests preying on young defenceless children.
In my view, such people should be handed severe punishment. Releasing them on bond or slapping them with fine is not good enough.
Letting them off easily emboldens them and is tantamount to giving defilers a place in our society. It would be best if those found guilty of defilement are handed a life sentence to serve as a deterrent to others with similar intentions.
Children will be safer if perverts are kept away from society.
