Land meant for a market has been grabbed, traders have claimed.
They said the community, which donated 10 acres of land for the establishment of Ong'wano Kamatengo market in 1948, does not have a market. In a petition, they urged the county assembly to reclaim the land.
"We demand that the county assembly in the protection of public interest, facilitate handing over of Ong'wano market for our use for economic and livelihood benefits and activities," the petition tabled yesterday partly read.
