The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) deputy party leader, Hassan Joho, has vowed to intensify campaigns and ensure victory for the party in the March 7 Malindi by-election.
Mr Joho who is also the Mombasa governor, said since the seat was left vacant after Dan Kazungu's resignation upon his appointment to the Cabinet, the Orange party should retain the seat.
Joho told off some ODM rebel politicians campaigning for the Jubilee candidate.
He said Kilifi people and those in Mombasa were one, and that there was nobody who could block him and other ODM leaders from campaigning in Malindi for the party candidate Willy Mtengo.
