Kenyan Premier League side Ushuru (Kenya Revenue Authority) head coach was shocked at his side's 2-0 loss to Chemelil Sugar at City stadium over the weekend.
Speaking to FeverPitch on phone yesterday, Ushuru head coach Ken Kenyatta attributed the team's loss to some sinister moves beyond football which he said he will soon expose.
Kenyatta said football standards and quality of play exhibited by his players baffled him on Sunday at City stadium.
He said before every KPL match, he has always ensured players are well trained in every aspect. He said it was, however, disappointing that his charges have always failed to implement these skills during actual league engagements.
"Before any premier league engagement, l have always ensured players were well drilled on all aspects of the match but once on the field, everything l had coached them evaporates," said Kenyatta.
Kenyatta said during the Saturday match against Chemelil Sugar his players were not focused and remained largely disorganised.
He said his focus will be on moulding a formidable team to be ready to do meaningful battle with opponents in the KPL competition next season.
"l intend to do a good recruitment of players for my team in readiness for the league next season" Kenyatta said.
Reached out for comment on his Saturday fixture against KRA , Chemelil Sugar head coach Mike Mururi said his side was able to beat the taxmen because they played according to his instructions.
"My players played well, they were focused, patient and co-ordinated during the entire match," Mururi said.
Mururi said he is equally aware that Chemelil Sugar's next and final opponent Thika United, is a tactically good side.
"Generally, this year's league has been tough with each team putting its best foot forward and I know Thika United is one of the best sides tactically." he added.
Muiruri said the quality of play and standards of football in KPL have greatly improved.
"The league is improving in standards each year and that is a good thing for Kenyan football," Mururi concluded.
