Dar-es-salaam, Tanzania: Seven passengers suffered minor injuries after a Kenya Airways plane went off the runway at Julius Nyerere Airport in Tanzania due to heavy rain on Friday.
KQ in a press statement said all passengers and crew were evacuated adding that the seven were injured during the exercise.
The injured were transferred to hospital for further observation. The aircraft had 49 passengers and six crew members.
The aircraft reportedly had a runway excursion in heavy rain.

''All passengers and crew were evacuated and we can confirm that seven passengers suffered minor injuries during the evacuation and have been transferred to hospital for further observation'', KQ Group Managing Director Titus Naikuni said in a statement sent to newsrooms on Friday.
The Airline's boss further said they were cooperating fully with government investigative agencies in Tanzania and Kenya on the incident.
