Moyale, Kenya: Three people who sustained gun shot wounds were Wednesday evacuated from Moyale after clan feuds left scores killed and about 100 head of cattle driven away by attackers from Ethiopia.
Reports from the ground say none of the cattle had been recovered by the end of the day as a team of Amref Flying Doctors were dispatched to the area to airlift casualties to Nairobi for treatment.
Amref Coordinator Jane Munyua said the three patients were airlifted from Duka, North Horr within Marsabit County to Nairobi, and were in critical condition.
“They are gaining stability as they were being attended to by the nurses abode the plane,” Ms Munyua said.

The plane carrying the wounded victims took four hours to arrive at the Wilson Airport in Nairobi due to bad weather.
Munyua expressed fear there could be more people injured due to the skirmishes.
But she chose to only talk of the three who had gunshot wounds on the leg, chest and arms. The three were taken to Kenyatta National Hospital for treatment.
Kuri Molu, one of the three casualties airlifted to Nairobi, told The Standard on his sick bed the attackers came at dawn and started shooting at them.
“They were armed and not talking to us when they attacked while most of us were asleep,” Mr Molu said.
On Saturday, four people were killed and one wounded in fresh inter-clan violence in Moyale, Marsabit County, that has sparked tension.
Eleven camels were also killed and 29 injured when herders from the Gabra community were ambushed.
